Cutting edge technology for agriculture and allied areas: SDG2 end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture

Department of Biotechnology has taken up several initiatives towards development of improved crop varieties, enhancing the health and productivity of indigenous cattle breeds, augmenting aquaculture productivity with a goal to help augment rural livelihoods in line with the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister for doubling of farmer's income by year 2022. The book "Cutting Edge Technologies Impacting Agriculture and Allied areas" covers details of cutting edge crop improvement, animal biotech and aquaculture technologies, a brief note on the mission programmes, diagnostic kits, vaccines etc.
