2019 energy balances

The energy balance is an accounting framework for compilation and reconciliation of data on all energy products entering, exiting and used within a country or area during a reference period. It expresses all forms of energy in a common accounting unit, and shows the relationship between the inputs to and the outputs from the energy transformation processes. This report presents energy data for countries and areas in a format which shows the overall picture of the production, trade, transformation and consumption of energy products utilized in the region. The report is useful in assessing and analysing supply and consumption patterns across both products and countries in detail on an internationally comparable basis.
