The study shows India’s clean energy sector continued to grow in Q3 FY23, with almost all new generating capacity additions coming from renewables (2.8 GW. Further no new coal on hydropower capacity was added in this quarter. However, 304 MW of coal capacity was retired from the central and state sector in Q3 FY23. In terms of average daily generation, the share of RE and coal increased, whereas hydro share declined in Q3 FY23 compared to Q3 FY22. This quarter, the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) issued a draft repowering policy for wind power projects.
