This book is significant for the following reasons. Firstly, it is interdisciplinary in nature, encompassing research on governance, environment, disaster management
and disability issues. It has a wider scope and covers disaster management issues such as preparedness for disasters, post-disaster reconstruction, peace, development and corruption. The views of different groups of stakeholders are incorporated in the discussion to produce comprehensive findings and analysis of the governance process and best practices in pre- and post-disaster management.
